Mini quilt -theme Fall

A mini quilt for a swap friend on Swap til you drop
http://www.flickr.com/groups/877639@N22/
Inspired of the glowing colours from the autumn leaves and the surrounding in sun dawn.A great joy to use colours I love but also try a new way of doing blocks.I made squares about 6" and put together f ex 5 fabrics and cut them all together in a special pattern-I made them in 3 parts "along" and then I cut them in 3 parts across. At last I combined the pieces in sifferent combinations and.....sew them together. In reality the quilt is darker .This quilt was so funny to do.

A pair of Socks and thousands of candles on the graveyard

Hello all

The cold times are here and we have -9C and a sunshine in the middle of the day.
So happy I have knitted a pair of socks during October.Socktober.A great idea to do something before the snow and the coldness comes.

Today I also visited the graveyard and we put candles on the graves of our relatives. It'was candles on nearly every grave and it'so so lovely to see. It'a a day of rememberence of our dead friends and family members.A very special day. It's a day of sorrow but aslo a day full of memories and silence.
