I wish you a lovely new day

It's a sunny morning and soon I'm going to work.As you can see there are more flowers now and in the sunshine they are so so beautiful. On Sunday we had the Mother's day and I could do some granny squares for a bag.The granny squares are so lovely to do.The coloured yarns I have used are the ones who were left after the weaving "bed covers" in a weaving group.I have used "lefts" with the lenght of about 20". I had the happiness to have the possibility to buy some of them.

During the week I'm also doing a ring cushion but it's going to be a top secret until July 24 when my son and his girlfriend are going to be married in our church. What i can say the flowers above give me a lot of inspiration. We are so happy for that and it's a great honour for me to do one.
Well now it's time to go to work.
Why not do some granny squares you to?!?!

I wish you a nice day

A big big thank you for the RAK and for the coming summertime

It's early morning and it's raining -I couldn't resist taking of photo from my room and I really love this season with the flowers and the green garden,a short time every year but a really inspiring time.Nearly no darkness.

I'm so blessed as I have got a RAK ,a very big RAK,from a knitting friend in UK.
There are colours in thin and a little thicker quality for lace knitting.
Wool/Casmere,Silk/Wool/Cashmere nd Sil/BabyCamel and Cashmere. So beautiful colours in my favourites and the qualities so so kind for the skin.I hope I can be knitting shawls for many occasions and in different lace patterns. What a summer!

Hand dyed fabrics

The colour we used was blue/green and a little red.

The colour is red and it seems as it was a candy red.

A blue/green/red variation.

The last workshop we dyed some more fabrics to use for quilting. We have sunny warm days just now so the fabrics was ready to use nearly at once.I love the colours and the patterns they give. What a nice day dying, crochet, sewing and having many nice chats.

Knitting and quilting May 14

I have been so blessed and I got 2 skeins of Kashmir/Alpacka in a give away at www.staketshantverk.com
and I choosed the colour plum.
The owner of the online shop has a very nice blog

http://eva-i-staket.blogspot.com/

where you can follow her in her development in knitting and crochet.
As the yarn is dark I tried to do a crochet the shawl but I didn´t feel so happy for that so I decided to knit a favourite one.I started with 4 stitches and knitted 2 rows and then I started to increase on the side every 2 rows.It gives a comfortable shawl. The yarn is so so lovely, warm and soft.I love this yarn.Thank you so much Eva.

On a swedish blog I found a link to a lovely blog
http://bearspatch.blogspot.com/
So much to be inspired of.I found a sew along at the theme tea and I decided to do something about tea as I'm really very fond of it.I had some fabrics with tea cups/coffe cups so I took one pattern and put it on a piece of my hand dyed fabric.I'm going to do some stitches hear and there.
