More gifts from M F and M S

The little pouch ,the sewing case and something I can have pencils and a little ruler in are really wellcome and I can use it when I go to a workshop in quilting.

Gifts from M F and M S

I am so so blessed that I also got lovely quiling gifts from the MF and M S.They have really succeded in finding fabrics in 2 different styles I really collect and use in mini quilts.

A lovely basket from L in Australia

The basket contains good things for a quilter as pins, laces, flowerband,a fabric with motives from Australia and a sweet koala for the key.

Christmas gifts from M,a quilt and some fabrics.

When I was on the Östasiatiska museum I saw some kimonos with fabris with the pattern I recognize on the orange and yellow fabrics from M.It seems to be a shibori technic.Very interesting.

The mini quilt has many quilting stitches, some in metallic gold and other in white. It's har to show it in the picture. The quilt is on the snow in front of our house. The details are taken inside.

Another lovely star on the borders up and down the mini quilt. The idea to do fantasy stars make the quilt more exciting.

What a georgious quilt fom my friend M!My friend M is really a fantastic quilter and she has done something reminding us of winter. She lives where the snow seldom comes. And the lovely crazy stars!I really really love them.

A new page for a swap partner

We cant all be stars
but we can twinkle.

This inspired me to do this page but also the colours we have a sunny day in October. On the course in Textile Art we worked with machine embroidery and I used varigated thread to it.When I was ready with the emboidery I felt it was to empty.A perfect flower from a Kaffe Fassett fabric made it "twinkle"

A weekend of remeberence

Tonight I'm going to lit the candles on the grave where my parents are.

New mittens in Sandness Palett superwash

A perfect weekend project is mittens made in a varigated yarn. The cuff is made by knit 3 or 4 rows and purl 3 or 4 rows as long as you want to have it.I tried to get the same colour variation but it was impossible with the 2 skeins I had.A nice knitting and the yárn is so wonderful to work with.

Sandnes palett superwash
color 0578
This yarn reminds me a little of Noro yarn I used for socks but this is 100&wool.I bought it in the local yarnn shop.We had a knittinf meeting in the library and ther they showed this yarn and I fell in love with it.

Saturday morning a lovely white cover of snow in the garden but today it was a rainy cloudy morning .I love snow, not much snow but ...

October 4 the celebration of cinnamon buns

http://annesfood.blogspot.com/2007/10/swedish-cinnamon-buns.html

The first "snow" came this night but went away very fast. The leaves are falling so it's wonderful to celbrate the cinnamon buns instead,a very common "cake"in Sweden.I made some and we had a nice "fika".I wish you all were here.

Sunday September 20

I took a walk in the garden and along the lovely river. No sunshine and a little windy. The autumn is here. But the air is so fresh and now and then we have had sunshine during the day.And a lovely sun dawn with lovely red/pink colours on the sky.
The socks in yellow I knit are socks designed by Nancy Bush,a famous designer often using lace in her socks.I participate in a KAL on Ravelry so I'm looking forward the next clue.

Fantasy flowers

A type of crazy flowers on a fabric page made by scraps made for a friend,Ati,in Norway. The colours are very much my favourite colours just now.The summer has ended but the bright colours still exist in my memories.

I have also a sentence by Buddha on the back of the page.
"If we could see the miracle of a single flower clearly, our whole life would change."
