Soon we have Christmas

The Christmas is on the way and we have started to do some preparations. What a great time even if it's a little bit to much to do.

Gifts from 2 different swaps-I'm so so happy.

In a scandinavian quilting group we have had a Christmas swap and yesterday we had a great opening of our packages.Sigrun in Ski sent me beautiful flowerful fabrics and wonderful coasters.

Hiroko,a blog friend and I we made a personal swap and I'v got a Christmas decoration made in a beautiful pattern and so fantasic done. The second beauty is a needle book with the theme birds.I love samplers and she has made a part of a sampler in a needle book. And she sent me a sweet pink fabric too.

The weekend embroidery

A weekend with cross stitch was the beginning of the Christmas holidays.
First of all a bird made in aida and DMC.The pattern is a freebee from
http:// dany88.canalblog.com
I have seen one made in red aida with white DMC-a really wonderful one.I hope I can do one in red and white for the next year,

The scissor fob is made in thin linen fabric-I think 32ct and DMC.
www.primitivebettys.blogspot.com
I love it because it's so thin and delicate in the colour combinations.
Betty has some other lovely patterns, some are freebees, and I really enjoy her patterns even if i'm not so "primitive" as she can be.

Mini quilt -theme Fall

A mini quilt for a swap friend on Swap til you drop
http://www.flickr.com/groups/877639@N22/
Inspired of the glowing colours from the autumn leaves and the surrounding in sun dawn.A great joy to use colours I love but also try a new way of doing blocks.I made squares about 6" and put together f ex 5 fabrics and cut them all together in a special pattern-I made them in 3 parts "along" and then I cut them in 3 parts across. At last I combined the pieces in sifferent combinations and.....sew them together. In reality the quilt is darker .This quilt was so funny to do.

What have I done on Sunday evening and Monday afternoon?

Hello all

On www.cottonspice.com/CSblog there have been new projects everyday presented by different designers, small projects to do in a day or 2.I found it the last 3 days of the doing-together so the first I have done is a version of project 12.A nice project but I had to ghange colours because I had nothing to paint with and the colours were a little bit to much pink.I'm going to use the square to something but I have not decided what.

Go there and i hope you find something nice to do.
Good luck
