Spring sewing party-what I'm working with.

I love Amish patterns and I found a nice idea on a blog
http://lazygallibamish2010.blogspot.com/
and that was to do your own version of something Amish.A liberated Amish. The batik fabrics are the ones I have done during the two last course weekends. They are hand dyed and they are so nice to work with.
The "quilt" is on a the snow.We have got even more snow today but it's warmer now, about -9C instead of -29C we had yesterday morning.A perfect day for sewing.
Now it's time for dinner.

You chose such pretty colors for your Liberated Amish project! I like that the fabric has a mottled look.

What a lovely block--and you have done a great job with the dyeing of the fabric--how are you doing on the project today???

hi Ulla, I love Amish things. Growing up as a child, we saw the Amish quite often and I always thought their quilts/quilting was just "one of a kind". I really like your block.

Have a good sewing day.

Eat Chocolate too.

Nice fabric choices. Will you quilt it by hand or machine?

What a nice block!

It was a fun party, huh? Ok, is there a trick when sewing with Batiks? The material is so soft/delicate, I tried it once & I'm not to fond of it.
