Started to knit new socks and this time it's in Regia colour 5270.I'm participating in knitting 1 pair a month. http://webstrik.blogspot.com/ Really a relaxing knitting in a lovely yarn.
It's wintertime and a weekend morning when you have no work you really can enjoy it. I'm also learning to write and read hiragana. http://video.about.com/japanese/Learn-Japanese--What-Are-Hiragana-Characters-.htm A very hard work is waiting for me. Enjoy the weekend.

Monday morning

A new week and I already have been working for a while.A little time for a cup of tea and a little blogging. The Christmas time is over and the real winter with a lot of snow is here. The tulips are giving me a lot of hope and inspiration.I did this decoration a week ago and now the green flower,a white flower and the star cloth still are on my table. Tomorrow evening I have a little time for knitting and maybe I make a little embroidery this evening. Wish you all a lovely day.

Quilting

The brain of a quilter found on internet says a little about what I have in my mind today. After a workshop we were doing something to put small or big things in.This little "bag" is a perfekt one for example your little knitting, crochet or embroifery or...Made by recycled ,handdyed fabric and small ball applications. Our inspiration is a thing we have in our mind just now.As the Christmas is ending now and our Christmas tree is leaving our house and all the beaufiful decoration too.Well then I choosed the round form and in the scrap bag I found repro fabrics, only small scraps but enough for the pattern.

A lovely gift from a dear friend and pictures this morning

It's Sunday morning and I started with a relaxing morning. My DH is hunting elks and I have been reading and I have been doing some preparations for the Christmas gifts I'm going to do in November. We are not celebrating Haloween but we have some candles brighting up the day.

On Wednesday afternoon a package from a very dear friend was in the postbox. She has been a penpal of mine for some years.Real letters in the postbox.I love to get and write letters.Every time I also enjoy the stamps ,a great interest I have.Small arts .Sometimes every year we make gifts for each other too. When you see this gift you can understand the efforts she has made for me and so much love and friendship she has "put" in it.My favourite colours and my favourite motif, flowers. And the feeling, she wanted to brighten up the darker days we have. She really succeded.I'm totally overwhelmed.Thank you dear M.

October 1 early morning

Knitting and quilting for the weekend.

During the weekend I want to do the block for the month. My fabric choice mostly consists of Kaffe Fassett fabrics. The background is from quiltersbasics. It seems the block is not so difficult to do.

The newist knitting project I started on our knitting café at work is a scarf.A simple pattern k 2 purl 2.For an hour we were sitting knitting and chatting.Very nice and very relaxing .The scarf I started is going to be a Christmas gift for a friend. You know it's not more than 3 months and I want to give a little small home made gift to each of them, mostly a "warm gift" to friend here in the north of Europe..

More in blue

The course we had last weekend was about dying and printing on recycled fabrics. The item we did was a book cover to our "book" for notes, ideas,drawings.....
The autumn is here and some bluebells can be found in the garden. But the nights are cold so they have hard times. Are they still fresh tomorrow?

198-yds-of-heaven a shawl I'm knitting

http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/198-yds-of-heaven

a free pattern on www.ravelry.com

The yarn is handdyed on Tunagarn. It's going to be a warm shawl in the winter but maybe not a shawl for a party.I know I have not knitted the patterns 100% right but it's going to be ready until the weekend and maybe beautiful.Maybe we could call it "art-knitting".

A new little bag

The bag is knittted in the icelandic yarn LettiLoopi on needles 5mm and then feltid. It's going to be knitted roses on knitted in Einband in needles 3mm.I just wonder if I put 2 big and 2 smalls or only 1 small on it.The roses are not felted or arranged.LettiLoopi and Einband are lovely to knit of and the felted LettiLoopi is so soft.
The kit was bought from

Wristwarmers

http://sheeptoshawl.com/lithuanian-wristers-twitter-kal-pattern/

I followed the pattern until the last rows but then I couldn´t figure out what I'm going to do.

And the last rows like this:

row 1 " k2tog,k2,yo,k1,yo,k2,k2tog"
row 2 k
row 3 knit row 1
and so on until you feel it's perfect for you.

I found out I had one stitch to much so I made a double k2tog in the end of the first knittting of row 1.

God luck with your knitting.

A new bag of the rest of the blocks

My Friday started with stick walking at 06.00 in the morning as I know the day is going to be very warm,at least +25C.Then 2 cups of tea,an early breakfast and some houres of sewing.A perfect start of a day.
Some blocks were not used for the tablerunner so I made a new little bag of it.For the handles I used other scraps from my stash.

I wish you all a lovely day.

Tablerunner and a potholder

A tablerunner made by blocks made by someone and they were in a scrap bowl when we had the last workshop.Beautiful colours and a nice pattern. Not 100% perfect but so so nice.Really something perfect in our kitchen.

A quilt friend of mine made such a beautiful potholder and I got the pattern from her.
It's made by hand dyed fabric .We have sunny summer days now so this is a celebration to the summer.
