Mittens in Jokkmokk and Jukkasjärvi

We were visiting Jokkmokk market, three days once a year on the first weekend in February. There you can find a lot of handicraft and also interesting food to eat, both local and food from some parts of the world.

The exibition I really became  totally overwhelmed of was with about 100 mittens from Jokkmokk and Jukkasjärvi on Ajtte.

As you can see many mittens are made in bright colours. Some of them are made as a gift, for example as a gift to your boyfriend and so one.We also could see many visiters using very beautiful mittens in bright colours.I also saw a man having mittens in white with patterns in red and white.More white I think,a variation of these mittens

Somewhere I have seen them and maybe they are more common in the north of Norway. On the exhibition we also could find mittens made in different colours of wool, natural colours.I bought yarn in two qualities,100% wool 50g 150 meters and 100% wool 50g 225 meter.
