Evening and morning

The last little block för the sew together was made by a little cross stitch heart in my "scrap bowl" in combination with fabrics there.My bowl has many "diamonds" ready to use.Hopefully I can do something else during the week but first of all I'm going to cut squares (5 cm)of the possible fabrics for a stamp quilt I'm going to do.

Last evening we had candles both inside and outside and I tried to take a photo of what I saw outside.Well the photo is not......but I love the feeling ......As I earlier told you The Autumn is not my favourite but I try to find the beauty and.....yes there are many

This morning I could see these flowers and I couldn't resist feeling a great happiness. Wish you all a nice day

The purse is ready

This purse is made of the gift whis was a bonus to the Tilda's Homemade Ideas.I'm very satisfied with the small purse and it was the perfect think to di in somr houres during the weekend.I also made a block for a needle bookbut about that next weekend. Wish you all a nice and creative week.

Preparing for a sew together tomorrow.

Saturday morning and the white roses are not any more brightening up our garden.As I showed earlier the flowers are in more autumn colours.The time with roses is very short in our garden.I'm already thinking of having more different ones for next summer.The rose season is too short.Instead of roses we have strawberries and fresh potatoes.More berries and vegetabilies in August

For the "sew together" I have been preparing to do a little purse with Tilda fabrics and with the pattern from Tilda's Homemade Ideas.Hopefully I have time to do another purse in another style and with a little cross stitch part.Just now I have several small items to do in cross stitch.About that during August. .

The colours are changing

Cloudberries are ready and it's very tasty to eat them just after they have been picked,ues even later but........

And the flowers in the garden in autumn colours are more common.

And the sun is shining today and these flowers are brightening up the garden

This little cross stitch item with beads on is going to be a little pincushion.I'm trying to enjoy these autumn colours and yes I'm enjoying them more now even if Im very blue,pink/red and lilac.

Pink and white roses

July 8 and the white and the pink roses are showing their beauty.It's a special summer today.And I couldn't resist doing one more in cross stitch.Maybee I do some more roses and I'm going to do something of it.What?Well I don't ,not yet. Widh you a nice Sunday

These roses are going to be pink för weeks and that's something which does the day much colourful and inspiring.

The white ones are "white" only a few days ...............

A lovely summerday and a shawl is ready to wear.

We really have warm summer days just now so the will to be knitting is on a low level.I ended with a simple lace pattern and some picots on the shawl I started when EM in football started.The yarn in kashmir and silk was really really so wonderful to work with.The next knitting?Maybe a shawlette from Jean Moss SWEET SHAWLETTES http://www.jeanmoss.com/sweet_shawl_proj_gallery1.html Wish you a nice summertime.

Red red red...no roses but a peony

We have a warm sunny day and the peonies are in just georgious ,but only for a few days.we have real summer just now. Enjoy!

A new day

It's early morning and I couldn't sleep any longer.And outside I could see the lovely flowers on the tree outside our house.Why be sad?No not at all.A morning has "gold" to give you.And this morning is the second day when the "sun is a little bit longer away from us".Now we get ,slowly,less of daylight.Why not take the chance to enjoy the daylight when ever you have the power to do it.And I have vacations so.......well I 'm going on knitting the shawl...... Happy Midsummer

With an ATC on the theme Midsummer I send you my best wishes. A friend sent this ATc to me and it's "what to do during the Midsummer night" when there was a tradition to collect 7 different flowers to put under the cushion.During the night you were going to dream about who you were going to be married with Enjoy the middle of the summer.Now,very slowly ,we are going to get more darkness too.

White and pink

February 2 http://textilejoy.blogspot.se/2012/02/february-2.html It was a very cold day and the trees were covered by snow/ice June 19 and the summer is here and the trees are covered by white flowers. Both the days have a special beauty I really love. Now I'm knitting a pink shaw in kashmir and silk.The EM in football is lovely to follow even if the swedish team isn't on the top of teams.Today they play against France. Wish you all a lovely time.

Saturday morning with flowers and a green garden

Early morning,02.40-02.50 and I couldn't sleep so what to do but enjoy the silent landscape.Among the first things promising a summer is a tree in a garden very near our house.Soft pink.What a great joy. From the student lunch a wonderful flower decoration.They are going to brighten up our weekend a lot. The sun is shining.Hard to get a good photo but hopefully you can imagine the daylight we nearly have 24 houres(day and night). The first flower in "påsöm" ,liksidig plattsöm.it's something I learned during my visit in Dala-Floda where they have many flowers on the female folkart clothes. http://www.brodera.nu/plattsom.htm

Roses for you and me

Our handicraft paper has a number about roses/flowers in different areas and type of handicraft.Hopefully I have it in my postbox tomorrow.Today they had on their site a pattern I did this evening.No,no words yet but hopefully before the weekend. False shibori

The last workshop I participated in I learnt to do a type of shinori.What's very interesting is the made fabric about 24 hours after using print colour,a thin colour version with more water in than when you print on the fabric and then waiting and suddenly you get a surptice.I hope you can follow the line from white fabric to false shibori.

A great joy to be one of the winners of Creative cards

Pincishions made in the Zakka -Sew-along

The pincushion in blue-green colours with linen is made by hand dyed fabrics,a little print and a bead embroidery in the center of the flower.The second one is made in linen and a japaneese fabric.and of course I decorated it with some beads in pink.A perfect work during the weekend.I love this SAL as it contains a lot of small useful things to do.

Socks in pink and grey

Hopefully these socks are going to be a favourite.They are knitted in pink Regia and grey Fabel. Half of the cuff is knitted with k2,p2 and that gives the sock a special shape I love.Very comfortable to wear too. Wish you a nice end of Easter.

Mystery part 2 and beautiful stamps

Part 2 of the mystery was the first I started the embroidery .After a long walk I went on with it.I'm very fond of the result so now I'm just wondering what the designer has in her mind.A house?Birds?More flowers? I wanted to show you the stamps on the lovely letter I got in the middle of the week.In some areas of the country you can see the cherry blossom and also other flowers.My penfriend send me these stamps on her letter to me.Thank you R.We still have a lot of snow and no flowers at all outside but lovely sunny days and cold nights so it's very nice to take a walk even early in the morning.Tomorrow I'm writing letters and some cards.I hope you have time to send for example a card to someone. A tribute to the new day

A new day and I'm drinking my first cup of tea.The coasters were made last evening after a long day at work.Also a lovely thing to do when you are relaxing a little bit.And when you need a little bit of extra colours in your life.I needed.I made them in the size just perfect for my tea cups. ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? A lovely package and beautiful stamps on it came at lunch time in my postbox

It's Monday at lunch time and the postman arrived early today.He had some letters for me and also a little package.You se the the lovely stamps my friend M put on .Georgious.Yes we are quilters too so...yes we love to play with colours and pictures. And inside there is a letter where she tells me about the flower season,spring season has started in her area of the world.She has made this lovely basket for me,a basket with lovely flowers.Up in the north we have no flowers but the snow is melting down..... until June we have nearly no flowers outside.Thanks dear M för this gift.

cross stich on a special "fabric" made by a dear friend

You can do cross stich on linen,aida,evenweave and a special "paper".My friend M made this as a gift and soon we have Easter and I have changed decorations in my home.March is a month I have a a special focus on cross stitch but as I have done gifts for a swap friend I can´t show you what I have done until done. Things made on the workshop

Hand dyed fabric stripes was "braided" and on some places also applicated.Hopefully this can be a mug rug or a little decoration on a table.

this bag is made by recycled and hand dyed fabrics.We took the "hems" from the curtins.Perfect for the bag and as it's double you don't need to have anything extra inside the bag. .
